Drawings prepared in the Construction Systems Laboratory of the Faculty of Architecture, UNAM.

DESCRIPTION ︎︎︎

This project is part of the UNAM Traditional Construction Systems Laboratory. Within this Laboratory, a series of drawings were made to explain all the constructive and material aspects of Mexican vernacular architecture through paper.

This project attempts to understand vernacular architecture through handmade graphic information. Likewise, it investigates the cognitive implications of the conservation of architectural experiences through paper.

The vernacular architecture of the cities 'San Mateo Río Hondo', 'Santo Tomás Tamazuluapan' and 'San Mateo del Mar’ are described in their entirety through drawings that can lead to the generation of questions and the observation of construction techniques, elements structural and materiality.

In addition to the above, the drawing of these techniques highlights the memory and constructive identity of each area and each system.
